If you are a veteran Xenoblade fan of the series, then you’re probably used to hearing the same lines of dialogue over and over again, whether it’s after battle, or when opening a chest or collecting items.

Xenoblade Chronicles has some of these, who can forget “I’m really sorry?” from Shulk, something we constantly abuse here at Nintendo Life when we cover Xenoblade news. And “Now is Reyn’s time” has also entered the pantheon of video game memes. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 had even more, including a couple of lines: “Think you can take me?” and “Don’t Forget Me”, which were released in a patch.

So what does Xenoblade Chronicles 3, the latest entry in the series, add to the Xenoblade dating room? Well here’s one you’ll be audience a lot of.

Eunie, a Keves soldier and team medic gunner, has a post-battle joke that we’ve certainly heard quite a bit, especially from this writer. In a charming British accent, Eunie, after ally Lanz says “That ended too soon!” — declares “Hear that, Noah? Lanz wants something a little meatier.” It’s like poetry. Except this is a JRPG where you fight a lot of battles, so you’ll be hearing it almost constantly during your playtime.

The frequency of Eunie’s little quote has had fans reminiscing about their favorite Xenoblade quotes, even mixing them up to create some memes for the ages.

Of course, Eunie is not the only character who has something to say. Sena, the diminutive wielder of Agnus’s hammer, is a cheerful and pleasant girl who is determined to tell you something about herself:

This one is pretty cute, honestly. Sena is quite small and usually carries a huge weapon with her. She loves to train and spar. So she’s just trying to amp herself up a bit!

Going back to Lanz, if you keep him as one of the Defender classes, he will try to keep other party members away. So you’ll hear a lot of this from him:

He’s also the MVP, but you were probably already thinking about it.

The frequency of some of these quotes has gotten a lot of attention from people who play the game, with some, including Xenoblade YouTuber Enel, thinking there should be more dialogue just to drown out some of the more common quotes. Maybe we’ll see a Xenoblade Chronicles 2-style patch in the future?

For now, we’ll just have to enjoy the frequency, the glory, the joy, whatever you want to call it, of JRPG field and battle dates in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. You won’t be forgetting them anytime soon.

In fact, for Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii, the developers had to remove some battle dialogue. Did you know the games? revealed this in a video posted this weekend, where the channel also mentioned changes to one particular scene involving protagonist Shulk.

If we had to choose our own phrase from Nintendo Life, it would have to be “Hello lovely people”, right? Anyway, if you are a fan of Xenoblade, sShare your favorite Xenoblade field and battle quotes with us in the comments!
